Stortford Interiors (UK) in-house joinery division, Parkrose are proud to announce that we have secured the Carpentry & Joinery Works Package for ISG at Avanti Grange School, in our home town of Bishops Stortford. The £32 million Secondary School will provide 1,200 pupil places and serve the new Stortford Fields and St Michael’s Hurst communities, across a large 11.4-hectare site that straddles either side of the A120.
The scheme, procured via the Pagabo capital works framework, sees ISG construct a contemporary-designed, two-storey concrete frame structure with brick façade. The southern zone of the split site development features the main school campus, which has a linear form and incorporates a central full height glazed spine to link classroom, break out, and communal spaces. The appointment will see the Parkrose Joinery & Fit-Out Business Unit deliver a comprehensive works package comprising veneered timber panelling, reception desks, timber doorsets & ironmongery, hygienic wall cladding, skirtings, handrails and FF&E.
The award represents an opportunity for Stortford Interiors to grow its presence in the Education sector, whilst building on an on-going trading relationship with ISG. We look forward to working closely with all of the project stakeholders to deliver a fantastic facility which will provide a first-class education for young people, and will be of great benefit and support to them for many years.
