The Parkrose – A Division of Stortford Interiors Joinery team currently delivering the Carpentry & Joinery works package at IKEA 214 Oxford Street, recently arranged for the #MakeItVisible taskforce to visit site to promote a more proactive, preventative approach to wellbeing across construction. The Lighthouse Charity ambassadors, Dale and Justin, shared not only their own personal experiences, but also in-depth & invaluable insights into the free resources and initiatives provided by the Lighthouse Charity and the work they do-
- Starting conversations and promoting open communication about mental health and personal wellbeing.
- Reducing the “I’m Okay” stigma and creating a culture where workers feel comfortable seeking support.
- Supporting workers and their families by providing resources and promoting awareness.
Over sixty sub-contractor operatives attended the presentation along with management staff from Parkrose – A Division of Stortford Interiors and main contractor McLaren Construction Group, with the event being well received by all.
