Stortford Interiors’ (UK) in-house joinery division, Parkrose has recently been awarded a substantial Washroom Fit-Out package by Mace. Marshgate is part of UCL East, a new world-class UCL campus located on Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. The package comprises an extensive ‘Superloo’ washroom scope including perforated metal plank & MF ceilings, floor finishes, flush fronted laminate faced WC cubicles, compact grade laminate IPS modules, vanity basins, sanitary fittings and MEP services installation, sanitaryware and decoration.

UCL East is the largest single expansion of University College London since it was founded in Bloomsbury nearly 200 years ago.

Marshgate will be the main educational component of the first phase of UCL East. Marshgate will be the centre for the UCL East academic vision, uniting Experiments, Arts, Society, and Technology (EAST) across taught programmes, research, and innovation. Academic activities will include media, making, human settlements, conservation, heritage, future manufacturing, and training for financial and business leaders.

The award represents an opportunity for Parkrose to deliver its first major washroom project for Mace and consolidate an on-going trading relationship with the construction giant. Scott Shearing, Pre-Construction & BD Director commented, ‘The Board of Directors are delighted to land this appointment. Our pre-con team have worked incredibly hard to provide the most appropriate cost & delivery solutions for the project and we look forward to delivering another first-class fully integrated washroom package’.
