Parkrose win Imperial West Block F, first high-rise residential scheme
Stortford Interiors’ (UK) in-house joinery division, Parkrose has recently been awarded a major £4.9 million joinery package at Imperial College London’s new residential tower, which is part of the White City Campus.
The landmark win for the specialist joinery contractors is the division’s first high rise residential scheme and has been awarded by main contractor Laing O’Rourke following the successful delivery of a Joinery package on Blocks C and D on the same scheme.
Imperial West Block F is a striking 215,000 sq ft, 35 storey residential tower which is the latest stage in the development of the 25-acre White City Campus. The innovative new hub will co-locate world class researchers, businesses and higher education partners on a scale which is unprecedented in London, whilst the tower itself will be an iconic feature building that will include 192 state-of-the-art new apartments.
Parkrose will deliver a range of Joinery services to all 192 apartments, including doorsets, kitchens, hardwood flooring, wardrobes and staircases. Doorsets and veneered panelling will also be delivered to common areas, whilst the reception area will receive bespoke joinery services, ensuring premium joinery standards throughout the building.
Steven Harvey, Joinery Director at Parkrose said: “Parkrose has been a leading name in joinery for over 40 years, so it’s a landmark achievement to secure our first high rise residential scheme.
“We’re pleased that Laing O’Rourke has been impressed by our commitment to delivering high-quality solutions on a previous project within the scheme. We now have the opportunity to provide residents with the superior standard of living which will complement the innovative environment of the rest of the White City Campus.”
