Project Outline

41 Lothbury is a Grade II* Listed former bank in the heart of London’s square mile adjacent to the Bank of England. This project by Stiff and Trevillion to create additional office accommodation also refurbished the existing 7-storey office building retaining many of original features, including the iconic 1926 banking hall. The comprehensive and well considered re-positioning of the building is a prime example of working within an existing structure and reusing materials to enhance the building whilst reducing carbon emissions.

Overall 41 Lothbury is designed to create an exceptional occupier experience by increasing floorspace and encouraging improved public use to compliment the extensive retail and leisure offers close by including Angel Court, Bloomberg Arcade, The Royal Exchange & The Ned. The project targeted BREEAM Excellent, Wired Platinum and NABERS and was completed in late 2024.

Scope of Works

Stortford Interiors remit was to deliver internal wall linings, drywall partitions and ceilings, with the Parkrose team delivering the Joinery and turnkey Washroom fit-out packages. The Washroom Fit-Out package encompassed Crown Cut European Oak veneered doorsets, panelling and WC cubicle fronts, ironmongery, laminate faced IPS modules, porcelain wall and floor tiling, bespoke vanity units incorporating Corian & Verde St Lucia stone, mirror fronted cabinets, VTEC timber slat ceilings, sanitaryware, lockers, mirrors and decoration. The turnkey scope also captured the drainage, domestic water and final electrical connections within the washroom and end of trip demise.

The multi-million pound award by Wates Group enabled Parkrose to demonstrate its in-house design capabilities, and work alongside the wider project stakeholders to provide unique architectural solutions and deliver another major washroom scheme to peerless quality parameters.
