Hotel Fit-Out
The new Hilton Hotel is part of the wider Victoria Square development in Woking. It has delivered 125,000 sq/ft of retail space, 429 residential apartments in two iconic sky-high towers, the new four-star Hilton hotel, a 50,000 sq/ft flagship Marks and Spencer store, two public plazas, a medical centre and 2,800 parking spaces. The Gensler designed Hilton hotel features 189 guest rooms, including 12 suites, as well as a ballroom for up to 500 people and 7,000 sq. ft of meeting room space. A joint venture between Woking Borough Council and Moyallen Group, the £540 million investment in Victoria Square is a key component in Woking’s future growth ambitions and the council’s mission to create a high quality, modern environment where businesses choose to locate and where people aspire to live.
Scope of Works
Appointed by Sir Robert McAlpine, Parkrose and the wider Stortford Interiors team delivered a substantial architectural fit-out package comprising drywall partitions and linings, ceilings, veneered timber panelling & other specialist wall finishes, polished plaster, veneered & painted doorsets, ironmongery, washroom fit-out and FF&E to levels 7, 21 and 22 of the 24-storey hotel. The bespoke joinery scope captured reception & concierge desks, greeter desks, glazed screens, bars & bar shelving, storage walls, hot pass units, banquette seating and a waiter station.
The multi-million pound award by Sir Robert McAlpine enabled Parkrose to demonstrate its in-house design and architectural fit-out capabilities, and work alongside the wider project stakeholders to provide unique architectural solutions and deliver another major fit-out to peerless quality parameters.
