The Carter
Stortford Interiors were appointed by Global Dynamic Construction Specialist ISG to deliver an expansive drywall and ceilings package as part of a CAT A refurbishment of the London, City site. The
project, in the shadow of St Pauls Cathedral, fully modernised and repositioned the commercial building, creating new communal areas, large contemporary reception and timber framed roof extension to a constrained site.
Scope of works
With a demand for compliance, consistency and quality Stortford Interiors employed their competent team to deliver a broad drywall and ceilings package that captured a variety of fabrics and finishes to multiple floor plates. The drywall scope included performance partitions to core and lobby areas as well as detailed shaftwall constructs. Special mention must be given to the close interface management between high level services and shaftwall risers where bespoke steels were utilised to accommodate service runs. The remit also extended to performance lining to perimeter areas and close interface detailing with the structural envelope in conjunction with clay and concrete plasters to common areas.
In addition to a technical drywall package Stortford Interiors also delivered a voluminous ceilings package. Through field areas, MF ceilings were installed at high level with ‘roadway integrated SAS’ metal pan ceilings configured to a bespoke arrangement. To the reception and high-profile areas, a variety of bespoke products were installed that included timber slat ceilings, high acoustic absorbing Baswaphon membranes all in close proximity.
The project permitted Stortford Interiors to demonstrate its pierless delivery capabilities, collaborative ethos and ability to find best value for the project stakeholders. With a strong focus on compliance and competency, our team delivered a certified product installation and once again reinforced its class-leading reputation.
