Project Cargo
25 North Colonnade is a major repositioning scheme in Canary Wharf, London, that has revitalised a 1990s office building, one of the first to be built in the Wharf.
Gensler’s design elevates the commercial office building to new prominence as a destination with convenient adjacency to the Elizabeth Line station — a major new transport node to the Wharf that serves over 150,000 people a day. The lower levels feature an exciting market hall concept which creates a space for all, supporting multiple uses throughout the daytime and evening. The publicly accessible market hall provides a variety of F&B offerings, as well as scheduled events and pop-up attractions.
Scope of Works
Stortford Interiors’ (UK) in-house joinery division, Parkrose, was appointed by ISG to design, deliver and install a full turn-key washroom solution to the central core throughout the building. The holistic scope captured a full architectural and MEP remit which de-risked delivery within the typically congested central core. The comprehensive turn-key package scope comprised drywall partitions and ceilings, door sets and ironmongery, laminate faced IPS duct wall and cabinetry, Corian vanity tops and splashbacks, Domus Wicker Pullen wall panelling, raised GIFA access floors, porcelain floor and wall tiling, vinyl flooring, decoration, mirrors and associated fittings to the building’s washrooms, changing rooms and shower areas. The scope also extended to shower cubicles, lockers and benching, and as part of the scheme, Parkrose incorporated a full Mechanical and Electrical Services installation within the demise.
The wide architectural remit, variety of intimate product interfaces and the highest of quality expectations provided Parkrose an opportunity to excel and demonstrate our class-leading credentials. Our in-house design team worked in close conjunction with the project stakeholders to ensure our pre-construction activities de-risked delivery and facilitated an efficient installation.
