Stortford Interiors have started the New Year with a bang and are delighted to announce that we have recently secured a significant Drywall & Ceilings package at 1 Hanover Street, for Main Contractor Wates Construction. Apple’s former European Headquarters is to undergo extensive refurbishment & re-modelling to provide a new global headquarters in the heart of Mayfair.
Just a stone’s throw away from Oxford Circus, 1 Hanover Street, is an iconic listed building with historical facades to its Hanover, Princes and Regents Street elevations. Following reconstruction in the early 2000’s it is now to receive a comprehensive modification that includes the installation of new entrances to Hanover Street and the reorganisation of the building’s internal atrium. The proposed works will capture the refurbishment of the building office accommodation on levels 2 through 6 alongside the creation of a new amenity space at level 7. The Crown Estates redevelopment will receive a new rooftop pavilion and terrace and provide 127,000 sq ft of sustainable first-class workspace.
Stortford Interiors have captured a considerable Drywall & Ceilings package on the project, and will utilise their knowledge and experience to deliver an expansive performance partitions and shaftwall package to core areas, in addition to Steel Frame Systems to the external envelope. The package remit also includes encasements and passive fire protection to steels, columns and structural members, as well as non-performance linings and specialist finishes.
The scope extends to a variety of suspended ceilings; monolithic, proprietary and bespoke across the floor plates, and once more allows Stortford Interiors to demonstrate its exacting interface management capabilities between new and existing base-build fabrics.
