41 Storey Residential Tower

Stortford Interiors were appointed by Laing O’Rourke to deliver a high volume drywall and ceilings installation at the newly developed mixed use plot next to Elephant and Castle.

The scheme included a 41 storey residential tower comprised of 335 apartments and an adjacent 7 storey commercial building.

Stortford Interiors captured a broad drywall and ceilings scope to both the residential and commercial buildings. The residential element included high-performance party walls, shaftwall and lining constructions with intimate façade interface detailing.

A ‘Green Wall’ SFS construction was also captured within our remit with stringent wind loading and fire rating specifications. Both commercial and residential scheme received metal pan ceilings (to corridors and lift lobby’s respectively) and a comprehensive fire stopping package was common to both buildings.

The project once again permitted Stortford Interiors to demonstrate its ability to deliver a high volume, high-quality drywall and ceilings package and satisfy tight quality, price, programme and demanding logistical parameters.
