Frank Lohan and Stephen Byrne in the running for industry awards
Stortford Interiors’ duo Frank Lohan and Stephen Byrne have been shortlisted for the 2016 FIS President’s Awards which will be held in London later this month.
Introduced in 2015, the Awards recognise outstanding individual contributions and achievements in the finishes and interiors sector over the past year. The FIS President, Steve Coley, leads a judging panel which will decide the winners who will be announced at the FIS President’s Lunch at Plaisterers’ Hall, London, on 23rd February.
Contracts Manager, Frank Lohan, is in contention to be named ‘Outstanding Employee’ after being acknowledged for his commitment to the business. This is reflected in his work on Stortford’s first ever high-end residential development, Riverwalk, in which Frank has shown exemplary performance over and above his responsibilities.
The potential of Stephen Byrne, who has been a Project Manager since joining Stortford in August 2014, has been recognised by his inclusion on the ‘Future Leader’ shortlist. Stephen’s management of a challenging ten story CAT A fit-out of London’s iconic skyscraper, The Shard, whilst simultaneously overseeing a number of smaller projects was a standout achievement.
Jim Nania, Chairman of Stortford Interiors said: “We’re immensely proud to see both Frank and Stephen make the shortlist for this year’s FIS President’s Awards.
“With Frank as Project Manager of our first high-end residential project at Riverwalk, we were confident that it would be delivered to the superior standard that is synonymous with our work. Stephen has shown all the attributes for a future leader, from technical skills to health and safety and client relationships, whilst his commercial awareness also stands out.
“We wish them all the best and will be keeping everything crossed that they collect the awards which would be befitting of their successes within the business.”
