Embassy Gardens Washroom Fit-Out
Embassy Gardens is a new riverside district in London developed around the new United States Embassy in Nine Elms. The area has witnessed significant regeneration with a masterplan to create an urban environment that orchestrates the relationship between architecture, landscape and public space to create desirable living and working areas.
One Embassy Gardens is a 215,000 sq ft office building that sits central to this location. The 12 storey ‘metal box’ has a unique 360 degree roof terrace and winter gardens with views over the River Thames and central London.
Stortford Interiors in-house Joinery Division Parkrose were appointed by property developer Ballymore to design, deliver and install the Washroom Fit-Out package.
Scope of Works
Parkrose were responsible for the delivery of a broad architectural washroom fit-out package to both upper floors and basement. The remit included GIFA flooring, drywall partitions, MF ceilings, doorsets and full height stained oak veneered WC cubicle fronts. The scope also captured metal framed & tiled IPS modules and caesarstone vanity units. The floors and walls to the washrooms receiving a distinctive tiled finish, with a decorative paint finish to the remaining elevations. Works also included the design and installation of a bespoke mirror cabinet system with concealed paper towel and soap dispensers, in addition to a comprehensive FF&E package. Basement areas received doorsets, bespoke lockers & benching and shower cubicles.
The wide architectural scope posed numerous design challenges. The Parkrose team had to demonstrate their agility and undertake a variety of client driven spatial and aesthetic changes in a short pre-construction period. These challenges were met with close Client engagement and collaboration and the scheme was delivered to peerless quality standards.
