Project Outline

Stortford Interiors were appointed by Battersea Power Station Ltd to execute a Trade Contract. Working in conjunction with Sir Robert McAlpine (Construction Manager) the residential drywall & ceilings package at Phase 3A – Block 01 was a key part of the regeneration of the world famous site. The phase of the development was designed by world-renowned architects, Gehry Partners, and Foster + Partners, and provided over 1,300 new homes, a hotel, shops and restaurants, and a new London Underground station.

Scope of Works

With an onus on quality and compliance, base build bespoke interfacing and high performance criteria, Stortford Interiors delivered a suite of performance drywall systems to the 15 storey building. The scope included party wall and shaftwall constructions to a range of apartments and penthouses alike in addition to a residents facility Sky Lounge, gym, entrance lobbies, scenic lifts and common areas. It also captured an extensive riser door and access panel package, riser steel fabrication with associated fire encasements as well as general passive firestopping and acoustic treatments. Special note must be made to our management and design of intimate mullion interfaces to a radius envelope.
Stortford Interiors remit also captured complex monolithic metal framed acoustic ceilings, bespoke specialist metal pan ceilings to corridor areas and specialist sprayed acoustic ceilings to high profile areas. The project permitted Stortford Interiors to once again demonstrate their experience, knowledge and class-leading abilities to deliver a challenging and exacting drywall & ceilings package.
