Stortford Interiors were appointed by Laing O’Rourke to carry out the design, supply and installation of SAS Suspended Ceilings for this project. They also carried out the design, supply and installation of the feature stretched ceilings to the lift lobbies.
Their brief was to develop the design proposals of the suspended ceilings, from architects Foggo’s specified design, in order to meet tough cost targets, but without changing the mechanical and electrical design. The single floor footplate, measuring approximately 4623 sq.m, in a single ceiling incorporated four stair cores with steel bulkheads to the perimeter. Tolerances were at an absolute minimum.
