Soho joinery package
Just a short walk from Tottenham Court Road Station at 111-119 Charing Cross Road, Ilona Rose House is a new build mixed-use scheme spread over thirteen floors, including four below ground.
A quarter of the 4 storey basement is naturally lit and will be the new home for Warner Brother’s European Post-production Studios – including a double height, tiered, 60-seat sound editing theatre. On the upper floors are over 14,000 sq ft of south-west facing terraces, which will provide external amenity space for every single level of office. More than a sixth of the 1-acre site is given over to public spaces, which are lined with restaurants, cafes, shops and a nightclub, to create a lively and generous new destination within Soho.
Stortford Interiors’ in-house Joinery Division, Parkrose, were awarded the doorsets package on this prestigious Soho Estates project by main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine. The package scope comprised over one hundred and thirty shell and core doorsets, primarily of a solid core timber construction, plus heavy duty security doorsets and concealed steel riser doorsets. There were also a number of specialist external doorsets to the bin & bicycle store doors and the UKPN room. All doorsets were factory serviced to receive stainless steel ironmongery on site or delivered with ironmongery pre-installed. All doorsets were installed in accordance with the BM TRADA Q-Mark Fire Door Installation Scheme, ensuring that fire doorsets were installed correctly, and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions or appropriate guidelines.
