Mayfair, W1
Pegasus Mayfair is located on the corner of Piccadilly and Sackville Street in central London. The redevelopment of Pegasus House incorporated a heritage-led design, retaining the grade II listed façade and other historic elements of the building’s and recognising the importance of the current buildings’ contribution to the local townscape, while also seeking to re-work the buildings to provide improved office, retail and residential accommodation. It was redeveloped in full with a design tailored to better reflect the original masterplan. The 82,600 sq ft scheme from Aviva comprises the redevelopment of Pegasus House on Sackville Street and neighbouring Nuffield House on Piccadilly, and provides offices, shell and core retail areas, and six residential units on the 7th and 8th floors.
Architects Trehearne have introduced a series of thoughtful refinements. Internal layouts have been reconfigured to improve efficiency and maximise usable space, while the façades have been carefully reinterpreted, elevating entrances and creating a coherent dialogue between the building’s interior plans and the surrounding streetscape.
