A Company-Wide Commitment to Safety
Stortford Interiors UK Ltd has achieved a prestigious RoSPA Gold Award, recognising its exemplary health and safety performance throughout 2024.
The award marks a proud milestone for the well-established interior architectural contractor, which operates across high-profile commercial and residential projects in both the private and public sectors. This was the company’s first time entering the RoSPA Awards – and a first-time Gold win.
Stortford Interiors has long been known for maintaining a solid and reputable approach to health and safety, consistently meeting its obligations across sites. The business has now taken that strong foundation and built upon it further – enhancing its systems, evolving its processes, and elevating its culture of safety from strong to stronger.
Since joining in 2022, Health & Safety Manager Brigita Bunikaityte – supported by external consultant SE Health & Safety Ltd – has helped shape the next phase of Stortford’s safety evolution. Together, they have introduced a new Integrated Management System, enhanced monitoring and audit procedures, and embedded even greater consistency across all sites.
“Managing safety is never an easy task – and without a 100% committed management team, it’s almost impossible to get good results,” said Brigita. “This is not just an achievement for the H&S department – it’s a reflection of the collaboration, engagement and ownership shown by our entire team. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together.”
The award recognises continued strong performance across the business – including the implementation of robust accident management processes, proactive site-level safety initiatives, and high levels of workforce involvement through toolbox talks, forums and daily briefings.
For Stortford Interiors, the RoSPA Gold Award reflects its core values – especially Responsibility, Collaboration and Continuous Improvement – and will further strengthen its reputation with Tier 1 clients and partners.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Growth Director, commented:
“Stortford Interiors should be proud of the hard work and commitment to keeping people safe that has resulted in a RoSPA Gold Award. They’re a strong example of how putting accident prevention at the heart of your business benefits everyone – from staff and clients to wider society.”
Health & Safety Manager Brigita Bunikaityte is expected to attend the official RoSPA Awards Ceremony in Dubai later this year, where the company’s achievement will be formally recognised on the international stage.
