Stortford Interiors (UK) in-house joinery division, Parkrose are very proud to announce that we have secured a substantial turnkey washroom fit-out package at 20 Ropemaker Street, for worldwide construction giant Skanska.
The 25-storey commercial office scheme, located close to the new Crossrail entrance at Moorgate station, consists of 419,093 sq ft of office space and 11,785 sq ft of ground level retail. The prominent City of London scheme will rise 1128m high above pavement level, with a double-height retail unit within a ‘street block’ along Finsbury Pavement. The development sets a new standard for office buildings. To deliver this, architect Make’s striking design has three central themes – the wellness of occupants, connectivity of spaces and the creation of a community of businesses. It includes the creation of a double-height entrance and lobby with a single storey of business space will be located at mezzanine level within the ‘street block’. Occupiable office space will cover 22 floors, with five accessible roof terraces. Three basement levels are provided for retail servicing, plant, facilities management, cycle and shower facilities.
The appointment will see Parkrose Washroom Business Unit deliver a comprehensive turnkey fit-out package. The super-loo configuration will capture drywall divides and cubicle fronts clad with European Oak veneered panels with door sets to match. The scope includes screeding, floor tiling and Dekton vanity units with bespoke veneered wall mounted cabinets. Mirrors, a full FF&E package and modular ceilings complete the architectural remit. The multi-million pound award also captures a full MEP scope to the washroom vicinity, to be designed, procured and installed by our resident MEP team.
The award will enable Parkrose to demonstrate its in-house design capabilities, provide unique architectural solutions and deliver another major washrooms scheme to peerless quality parameters.
Steve Harvey (Joinery Director) commented: ‘We have been working on this scheme for a considerable period of time and collaborated closely with Skanska, the client team and project stakeholders to understand the project challenges and provide innovative solutions. Our proactive ‘can-do’ ethos has differentiated us again and we look forward to delivering another prestigious class-leading washroom install’.
