Our Joinery Operations Manager Lee Moore and Project Surveyor Asef Neyazi recently travelled to Chiampo, Vicenza in Northern Italy to visit the factory of Lithos Design. They were joined by representatives of Skanska from the 7 Millbank project in Westminster, where our team are delivering the Turnkey Reception Fit-Out package.
The factory visit was organised in order to inspect the quality, consistency, finish and workmanship of the proposed stone product for the project. It provided an opportunity to review sample selections for potential alternative finishes for the reception desk, confirm manufacturing standards, and ensure that the stone products are aligned with the design intent and quality expectations prior to shipping to the UK. Following a successful factory visit, the team got to sample the local cuisine with an evening meal in Verona and a look around the historic city centre before returning to London the following morning.
