Stortford Interiors (UK) Ltd and Parkrose – A Division of Stortford Interiors, are delighted to announce that they have recently secured and commenced a combined drywall & ceilings, joinery and washroom fit-out package for Wates Construction at 41 Lothbury, the Grade II listed former bank in London EC2. The £53m refurbishment and extension of 129,521sq. ft. office will retain many of original ornate features including the iconic banking hall.
The comprehensive and well considered re-positioning of the building is a prime example of working within an existing structure and reusing materials to enhance the building whilst reducing carbon emissions. Overall 41 Lothbury is designed to create an exceptional occupier experience by increasing floorspace and encouraging improved public use to compliment the extensive retail and leisure offers close by including Angel Court, Bloomberg Arcade, The Royal Exchange & The Ned. The project is targeting BREEAM Excellent, Wired Platinum and NABERS and is due for completion in 2024.
Stortford Interiors remit is to deliver internal wall linings, drywall partitions and ceilings including fire rated beam treatments, with the Parkrose team delivering the Joinery and turnkey Washroom fit-out packages. These encompass veneered doorsets and panelling, ironmongery, WC cubicle fronts, laminate faced IPS modules, porcelain wall and floor tiling, bespoke vanity units & cabinets, sanitaryware, FF&E, mirrors and decoration. The scope also captures the drainage, domestic water and final electrical connections within the washroom demise, and extends to the refurbishment of existing doorsets, panelling & timber staircases and new hardwood parquet flooring within the Heritage Areas of the building.
