Stortford Interiors are very proud to announce that we have been awarded a substantial drywall and ceilings package for Haleon, at their new Oral Health Innovation Hub, Weybridge. The works will be undertaken for Main Contractor Kier.

Haleon is a global leader of consumer health and the new innovation space, located in the heart of Surrey, will incorporate state-of-the-art and digitally enabled laboratories. The 90,000 sq. ft building will provide contemporary office workspaces and a dedicated consumer behavioural research facility. Equipped with the latest technology, the centre will feature a cutting-edge digital immersive room that will bridge the gap between ideas and reality, connecting the hub to Haleon’s manufacturing sites. The scheme will also feature a new car park building with 50% allocation for EV charging spaces, and site-wide landscaping and living roofs to enhance biodiversity. The project aims to achieve a BREEAM ‘outstanding rating’ and will be of strategic significance to the UK economy and represent a world-leading global hub for oral health life sciences, R&D, and innovation.

The award will see Stortford Interiors deliver performance drywall partitions, linings and shaft wall constructions. The multi-million pound scope also captures beam encasements in addition to secondary steel works and ancillaries and an assortment of monolithic and proprietary ceiling finishes all delivered to and exacting finish and tolerances.

The appointment represents another success for Stortford Interiors, who worked diligently throughout the pre-construction window to arrive at the best value solutions for the Client and the award is a further addition to a long list of successfully delivered life-science projects. Managing Director Scott Shearing commented ‘…this was an important award for us…..we worked hard to prove to the project stakeholders that we were the best-fit for the scheme, and look forward to demonstrating the benefits of early engagement and close collaboration on a strategically significant D&B scheme’.
