Our fantastic Stortford Striders running club recently took on the TTP Cambridge Half Marathon and enjoyed a great team finish. Celebrating its 15th year, the race is a 13.1 mile scenic journey through the historic streets and world-famous University grounds. There were cheering crowds throughout, creating a unforgettable atmosphere for our team made up of Stortford Interiors employees, supply chain partners and friends.
This fantastic initiative was both a team building and individual wellbeing challenge, encouraging our group to support each other through training and celebrate together after crossing the finish line. The team were proud to raise funds for their chosen charities of Prostate Cancer UK and The Essex Disabled Sport Foundation; the support of family and friends on the sidelines made the day even more special.
The Striders team finished 4th out of 15 competing businesses and there were some excellent individual results on the day as well. We finished the race with drinks and pizza before heading home to soak tired legs. It was a great day out for the Striders and we look forward to seeing what their next challenge will be.
