Parkrose awarded fit-out scheme on former site of London Family Court in Fitzrovia
Stortford Interiors’ (UK) in-house joinery division, Parkrose has been awarded the general joinery package for Tasman House, a new build retail and commercial development in the heart of Fitzrovia, central London.
The leading name in joinery has been appointed by Wates Construction to deliver its specialist hand crafted joinery package and complete reception and washroom fit-outs for the CAT A scheme.
The experience and expertise of Parkrose will be utilised to create a series of high-end finishes, including impressive bespoke stained European Oak panelling throughout.
Tasman House is a new 48,000ft² development for Wates Construction which is set to make a striking mark on Fitzrovia’s eclectic mix of architecture, with unique positioning on an irregular shaped site with large frontage to Wells Street. The new build will replace the current 1960’s building which was previously home to the city’s Family Court and comprise a new basement slab at a reduced level, accommodating predominantly retail space, in addition to plant, cycle and shower areas to support the building’s offices.
Parkrose’s work on site begins in February 2017 and is expected to be complete in October that year.
Steven Harvey, Joinery Director at Parkrose said: “We’ve worked closely on several schemes with Great Portland Estates in the past and are excited to be doing so again on what will be our fifth partnership since 2012.
“Our vast experience sets us apart in terms of the services we offer, so we’re pleased to be able to deliver a range of top quality joinery, washroom and reception fit-outs on another development which will revitalise an old site and turn it into an impressive working space for people to enjoy.”
