Project Outline

The Re-development of the former Daily Mail offices behind Fleet Street is a 270,000 sq/ft refurbishment providing upgraded office space, extensions to the existing floorplates and repurposing of the ground floor entrance and retail provision. It brings back much needed character and life to the building and surrounding area. Refurbishment of the 100-year-old Art Deco Grade II listed building, sees an increase to the building’s net lettable space with the construction of two new levels designed by John Robertson Architects. It also includes the addition of green space, including roof terraces across levels six and seven.

Scope of Works

Stortford Interiors’ (UK) in-house joinery division, Parkrose was appointed by ISG to design, deliver and install a full turn-key fit-out solution to the washroom areas of the building. The comprehensive package scope included screeding, drywall partitions & ceilings, ceramic floor & wall tiling, Valchromat IPS Modules, HPL faced IPS duct wall & cubicles, cantilevered Corian vanity units, mirror-fronted access cabinets, , MEP & sanitaryware, fixtures, fittings and decoration. Our remit also extended to timber & metal doorsets and associated ironmongery throughout the building, and bespoke joinery, glass shower cubicles, lockers, mirrors and changing benching to the basement changing areas.
This wide architectural scope provided both challenge and opportunity for Parkrose to differentiate ourselves from the marketplace. Our in-house design, delivery expertise and interface experiences enabled us to identify project risk early, provide appropriate aesthetic and performance solutions and achieve a peerless installation within demanding programme parameters. Close client collaboration and trade contractor co-operation was imperative to the success of the project and contributed to another class leading installation.
