Stortford Interiors are delighted to announce that we have secured a significant Architectural Fit-Out award at St Johns Wood Square in London NW8. The project will be delivered for leading global construction company Multiplex, and represents another important appointment for the business, contributing to a strong start to the new calendar year.
Located at the former site of the St Johns Wood Barracks, the 5.5 acre development will see the transformation of the site previously occupied by The King’s Troop, Royal Horse Artillery, along with properties at 1-7 Queen’s Terrace, into a super prime Central London residential address. The scheme comprises a total of 179 new homes, including 11 townhouses, 109 private and 59 affordable apartments spread across nine buildings, ranging in height from three to six storeys. The works also include for the sensitive restoration of the Grade II listed Riding School building, preserving the heritage of the site.
The development of this highly sought after location intends to provide a high-quality residential environment, which is in keeping with the St John’s Wood area.
Stortford used its broad architectural package experience to secure the fit-out of the affordable apartments on the project and fused its drywall wall and joinery experiences to secure the appointment. The significant remit will include performance drywall to new and retained base-build fabrics in addition to suspended ceilings and associated ancillaries and passive fire-stopping. The scope also extends to joinery (general and bespoke), floor finishes, wall finishes, decorations, FF&E and white goods and permit Stortford Interiors and its in-house Joinery division Parkrose to demonstrate its class leading-credentials on another major project.
