Soho Place is an enormous urban jigsaw that builds on the imminent arrival of Crossrail to bolster the large-scale regeneration of Oxford Street’s eastern end.

A new civic plaza is placed between the schemes centre to amplify the urban regeneration of Oxford Street, line new urban vistas to St Patrick’s Church and physically link Charing Cross Road to Soho Square. No1 Soho Place marries the retail tradition of Oxford Street with a revitalised transport interchange on Charing Cross Road and a new public space on Sutton Row. It comprises two basement levels, ground floor, plus nine upper floors with a tenth floor terrace offering panoramic views across London. Use is a 36,000 sq. ft retail area (Class A1) on the key Oxford Street elevation at part basement level, above at ground and first floor levels with 180,000 sq. ft is high quality office space (Class B1).

Scope of Works

Stortford Interiors’ (UK) in-house joinery division, Parkrose was appointed by Laing O’ Rourke to design, deliver and install a full turn-key washroom solution to the central core throughout the building. The package scope captured a full architectural remit which de-risked delivery within the typically congested central core. The comprehensive turn-key package scope comprised drywall partitions & ceilings, tile faced IPS duct wall, HPL cubicles with reeded European Oak veneered cubicle fronts, raised GIFA access floors, ceramic floor & wall tiling, decoration, mirrors and associated Black Nickel PVD fittings to the building’s washrooms, changing rooms and shower areas. The scope also extended to bespoke joinery, shower cubicles, lockers and benching to the basement levels.

The holistic package scope, variety of intimate product interfaces and the highest of quality expectations provided Parkrose an opportunity to again demonstrate our class-leading credentials. Our in-house design team worked in close conjunction with the project stakeholders to ensure our pre-construction activities de-risked delivery and facilitated an efficient and class leading installation.
